The following is an excerpt from the September 2014 edition of The Bishop’s Bulletin addressing marriage
“Among these counter cultural teachings under attack today are those on marriage, the family and human sexuality. Marriage as intended by God is the joining together of a man and a woman for the good of one another, living lives of faithfulness, and open at all times to the gift of children. As the Catechism puts it: “(e)ach of the two sexes is an image of the power and tenderness of God, with equal dignity though in a different way. The union of man and woman in marriage is a way of imitating in the flesh the Creator’s generosity and fecundity.”(CCC 2335)”
